Frame30 is a simple EDL tool for Filemaker Pro.
The original application of Frame30 was to take a frame-based EDL created for a laserdisc and make a valid
EDL for the BetaSP dub of that laserdisk (with non-matching timecode).
Since the Beta and the Laserdisc did not have the same timecode, but rather a consistent offset, I wrote this
database to correct the original EDL (as well as turn it into a timecode EDL instead of a Frame EDL).
If you also need to adjust all of the entries in you
r EDL, use the
Data Entry Adjusted
Layout to do your data
entry. The Adjusted Frames Start and Adjusted Frames End fields are for any offset that you have that is
frame based. If you have timecode based adjustment, enter it in the Adjusted Timecode Start/End. If you
want to apply that adjustment to the entire list, just press the
adjust all entries
button.
If you do not need to adjust your EDL, you can use the columns or Simple Data Entry layouts to do your
data entry.
Press Ex
port to make a text file of your EDL.
To switch to PAL or NTSC, choose the appropriate script in the
Script
menu.
To find out how to register your copy of Frame30, see the acompanying Readme file, or send email
to jsbowers@kagi.com.
